Subscribe to a plan and start your free trial
Olvio needs an active plan before it runs on your store. Until you choose one, the Olvio admin only shows the Plans page and the widget stays hidden on your storefront. Your first subscription includes a 14-day free trial, and Shopify handles the billing.
Compare the plans
The Plans page shows three plans side by side. Prices are in US dollars.
Plan | Monthly | Yearly | Products | Conversation history |
Starter | $49 | $470 | Up to 1,000 | 30 days |
Growth | $99 | $950 | Up to 5,000 | 90 days |
Scale | $249 | $2,390 | Up to 25,000 | 365 days |
Every plan includes unlimited visitors, the knowledge base, your own Claude API key, full widget customization, revenue attribution, and support. The plans also differ on:
Olvio Advisor (Advisor on the plan cards): Growth and Scale only. See What is Olvio Advisor?.
Widget languages: Starter serves your store's default language. Growth serves up to 2: your default language plus one other published language Olvio supports, which you can choose (Bilingual widget). Scale serves every published language Olvio supports (Multi-language widget).
Knowledge sources in AI Setup: up to 10 Knowledge files and 10 External web pages on Starter, 30 of each on Growth, and 100 of each on Scale.
For the full comparison, see Compare Starter, Growth, and Scale plans.
Monthly or yearly billing
Use the Monthly and Yearly · Save 20% toggle above the plans. Monthly plans are billed every 30 days. Yearly plans are billed once a year and cost about 20% less than twelve monthly payments. In yearly mode, each card shows the equivalent monthly price with the yearly total underneath, for example Billed $470 annually on Starter.
Plans that don't fit your catalog
Next to Your catalog:, the Plans page shows the number of products Shopify reports for your store. A plan whose product limit is lower than that number is grayed out, and its button reads Catalog too large. Choose a plan that covers your catalog.
If your catalog grows past your plan's limit after you subscribe, Olvio keeps syncing and answering questions about every product. When the number of products Olvio has imported goes above the limit, the Dashboard (click Olvio in the app menu) shows a banner such as You're over the Starter product limit. On the Plans page, once the number Shopify reports goes above the limit, your plan's card is grayed out but keeps its Current plan button, and you can't switch that plan between monthly and yearly.
Start your free trial
Open Olvio from your Shopify admin. Until you subscribe, Olvio opens on the Plans page.
Choose Monthly or Yearly · Save 20%.
On the plan you want, click Start 14-day trial.
Shopify opens its page to approve the subscription. Approve it to continue.
Shopify brings you back to Plans. If Shopify hasn't confirmed yet, the banner Activating your subscription… shows, and the page updates on its own.
When the page heading changes to You're on the Growth plan (with the name of your plan), your trial has started and the rest of the Olvio admin is available.
If Shopify hasn't confirmed after about 30 seconds, the banner Activation is taking longer than expected appears with a Refresh status button. See Plans page problems: activation stuck or 'Catalog too large'.
If you leave Shopify's approval page without approving, your plan doesn't change and you can choose a plan again.
How the free trial works
The 14-day free trial is available on your store's first subscription only.
During the trial, every feature of the plan you chose is available.
You aren't charged until the trial ends. If you keep Olvio, billing for your plan starts when the trial ends and appears on your Shopify bill.
Your trial counts as used as soon as your first subscription is active. If you switch to another plan, or between monthly and yearly, during the trial, the new subscription has no free trial, and billing for it starts when it takes effect, usually as soon as you approve it in Shopify. Choose the plan you expect to keep.
If the Plans page says you've already used your free trial, the plan buttons read Subscribe to Starter, Subscribe to Growth, or Subscribe to Scale, and charges start as soon as you approve.
For more details, see Your 14-day free trial explained.
After you subscribe
Olvio starts importing your Shopify catalog in the background, and the Dashboard shows its progress.
Before Olvio can answer shoppers, add your Anthropic API key and add the Olvio block to your product page. The Get Olvio ready for your first customer card on the Dashboard walks you through these steps. See Your setup guide: get Olvio ready for your first customer.
Change or stop your subscription
To change plan, open Plans and click Switch to followed by the plan name, for example Switch to Scale.
To change billing cycle, flip the toggle and click Switch to yearly or Switch to monthly on your plan. While the toggle shows the billing you pay, your current plan has the Current badge.
The new subscription has no free trial, and Shopify adjusts your charges based on the price difference and the days left in your billing cycle: an upgrade is prorated, and a downgrade gives you an app credit. If you pay yearly, a switch to monthly billing or to a cheaper yearly plan takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle. See Upgrade or downgrade your plan and Switch between monthly and yearly billing.
After you approve a switch, the Plans page doesn't update on its own. Shopify usually confirms a switch within a few seconds, and until then your previous plan keeps the Current badge. To check, open another page of the Olvio admin, then open Plans again. If you pay yearly and switch to monthly billing or to a cheaper yearly plan, your current plan can keep the Current badge until your next billing cycle. Don't click the plan's button a second time: that opens Shopify's approval page for a new charge. See Plans page problems: activation stuck or 'Catalog too large'.
Olvio has no cancel button. To stop your subscription, uninstall Olvio from Settings → Apps in your Shopify admin. If you uninstall before your 14-day trial ends and you haven't switched plans or billing cycle during it, you aren't charged for Olvio. See Cancel your subscription by uninstalling Olvio.
When your subscription ends, the widget stops showing on your storefront.
If you move to a plan with a shorter conversation history, or your subscription ends, the next daily cleanup deletes conversations, shopper questions, and unanswered questions older than your new history period (30 days once you have no plan). Subscribing again doesn't bring them back. If you uninstall, Olvio also permanently deletes all your store's data about 48 hours later. See What happens to my data when I uninstall Olvio.
Your Anthropic bill is separate
Olvio uses your own Anthropic API key to generate answers. Anthropic bills you directly for that usage at its API pricing, and Olvio adds no markup. Your Olvio plan, billed through Shopify, and your Anthropic usage are two separate bills. See What uses your Anthropic API key, and what doesn't.
